Training — Save Your Time and Your Company’s Money
OpenNMS works well out of the box, but it still takes time to learn all of its powerful features. The OpenNMS Group offers formal training courses to help you get up to speed quickly so your business can rapidly realize all of the benefits the application can provide.
Courses are taught by the same people who maintain the project. Not only are they experts on OpenNMS, they have used most of the major proprietary tools as well, and can demonstrate the analogous features in the OpenNMS application.
OpenNMS training is usually provided in the English language, but arrangements can be made to teach it in Spanish if required. Our partner in Germany, Nethinks, has scheduled several classes in the German language.

If you have training facilities, OpenNMS classes can be held at your location. We have taught all over the US and around the world. If you don’t have training facilities, classes are held in our state-of-the-art training center in scenic Pittsboro, North Carolina, USA.
Class sizes are deliberately kept small. This allows for a high level of interaction between the students and the instructors.
OpenNMS Training
This five-day course covers everything you need to know to get started with OpenNMS. You will install OpenNMS, discover a network, and configure all of the main features. The course focuses on best practices, and since it is hands-on you will learn how to troubleshoot the different kinds of problems you are likely to encounter using the application. You will also learn about the “why” as well as the “how”.
Schedule and Registration
On-site courses can be scheduled at your convenience. For training held at our office, you can register by completing the form at the left. Courses are offered about once every other month.
We use Paypal to book training, and you can register on-line by clicking on the appropriate “Buy It Now” Button. Substitutions are always available should a student become unable to attend, and refunds are available up to one week before the class.
If you would rather contact us directly, send an e-mail to sales@opennms.com or call the office at +1 919 533 0160.

What Our Clients Say
We are an ISP. Our network is what we actually sell, and that’s why we must have top performance from our network management system. We didn’t get top performance with our old system, but we do with OpenNMS. - Michael Micheletti, Manager of Engineering, TowerstreamRead More
In six hours, we had OpenNMS running with all the functionality that it had taken us three years to develop with Openview NNM. This was a rude but happy awakening. - Dale Meyerhoffer, Senior Network Analyst, Hershey Medical CenterRead More
I was the only IT person at the office, but with OpenNMS, it was easy to keep track of everything on the network, including our snow and ice-covered traffic light system. If there had been a problem, OpenNMS would have let me know. - John Jennery, City of Grapevine, TexasRead More
