OpenNMS Training: Save Your Time and Your Company's Money

OpenNMS is a very powerful management tool, and while it works well out of the box it can take some time to explore and learn all of its features. The OpenNMS Group offers formal training courses to help you get up to speed quickly so your business can rapidly realize all of the benefits the application can provide.

Courses are taught by the same people who maintain the project. Not only are they experts on OpenNMS, they have used most of the major proprietary tools as well, and can demonstrate the analogous features in the OpenNMS application.

If you have training facilities, OpenNMS classes can be held at your location. We have taught all over the US and around the world. If you don't have training facilities, classes are held in our state-of-the-art training center in scenic Pittsboro, North Carolina, USA.

Class sizes are deliberately kept small. This allows for a high level of interaction between the students and the instructors.

There are two main courses: Basic (3 days) and Advanced (2 days). They are also offered as a Combined course as a discount.

    Basic OpenNMS

This three-day course covers everything you need to know to get started with OpenNMS. You will install OpenNMS, discover a network, and configure all of the main features. The course focuses on best practices, and since it is hands-on you will learn how to troubleshoot the different kinds of problems you are likely to encounter using the application. You will also learn about the "why" as well as the "how".

    Advanced OpenNMS

There are a number of OpenNMS features that really benefit large networks. This two-day course covers such enterprise features as the distributed monitor, the model importer, and the trouble-ticketing API. While it is not a requirement, it is highly recommended that you have the Basic course as a prerequisite.

    Schedule and Registration

On-site courses can be scheduled at your convenience. For training held at our office, you can register by completing the form at the left. Courses are offered about once every other month.

We use Paypal to book training, and you can register on-line by clicking on the appropriate "Buy It Now" Button. Substitutions are always available should a student become unable to attend, and refunds are available up to one week before the class.

If you would rather contact us directly, send an e-mail to sales@opennms.com or call the office at +1 919 533 0160.
